Walterboro, S.C. / Oct. 19, 2015 – In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, Lowcountry Imaging Associates in partnership with Colleton Medical Center will offer after-hours mammogram appointments for women age 40 and older on Thursday, Oct. 22 from 5 - 7 p.m. Registration is required. “Mammogram screenings improve the chances of detecting cancer earlier,” shares Angela Maxey, Lead Mammographer at Lowcountry Imaging Associates, “When we can detect cancer in its early stages, it can improve the chances of successful treatment. We highly encourage all women over the age of 40 to receive annual mammograms.”
Located at 211 Meadow St. in Walterboro, Lowcountry Imaging Associates is affiliate with Colleton Medical Center and offers diagnostic imaging services including digital mammography, bone density scans, and diagnostic x-ray.
