On Thursday, April 18 Colleton Medical Center installed and filled a blessing box food pantry in the walking park at Colleton Medical Center.

The Blessing Box was beautifully crafted by Tiff Condran, Colleton Medical Center’s Facilities and Security Manager, and filled by members of Team Colleton.

“We recognize the lack of reliable transportation may prevent community members from accessing the food pantry and services at In His Name – Colleton,” said Jimmy Hiott, Colleton Medical Center CEO. “Our hope is the new blessing box will help to remove this barrier by providing access to a food pantry for residents that live closer to the hospital.”

In His Name – Colleton Executive Director, Amanda Herndon added, “We are thankful for the many ways Colleton Medical Center shows up for our community. This blessing box is a testament to their unwavering commitment to the care and improvement of human life.”

The Blessing Box can be accessed via the Ambulatory Surgery Center parking lot located at 304 Medical Park Dr. The community is invited to take what they need and leave what they can.
