Walterboro, S.C.—Colleton Medical Center (CMC) has announced the appointment of Brad Griffin as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective May 1. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer for Ocala Health System, overseeing operations of a two hospital system that included the 200-bed Ocala Regional Medical Center and 70-bed West Marion Community Hospital. While in the position Brad spearheaded multiple construction and renovation projects and was instrumental in achieving Provisional Level 2 Trauma Status for Ocala Health System. Prior to this position, he was COO for Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, GA, and Associate Administrator for Coliseum Health System in Macon.

Throughout his healthcare career, Brad has been committed to community involvement; he has served as the Finance Chairman for the Heart of Florida Health Clinic and has been a board member for the Heart of Georgia United Way, the Macon Volunteer Clinic and the College of Central Florida Foundation. He received his Masters of Health Administration and Business Administration from Georgia State University and his undergraduate degree from Mercer University in Finance and Computer Information Systems.
