Colleton Medical Center brings Christmas cheer to 55 kids in Colleton County

Colleton Medical Center embraces the Care Like Family motto to bring Christmas cheer to 55 kids between the ages of 3 months and 10 years old.

I continued to be humbled by the way Team Colleton shows up for our community. “Care Like Family” isn’t something we simply say, it’s something we do every day in and outside of the facility,” said Jimmy Hiott, Colleton Medical Center CEO. “We understand that the holidays can be a time of stress and loneliness for many in our community and this was our way of helping to ease that burden.”

CMC worked with the Colleton First Step Program which identified 53 children in need of a little extra holiday cheer. A simple wish list of items with no identifying information was provided for each individual and Santa’s CMC Elves did the rest. Additionally, Team Colleton made a $400 monetary donation to Colleton County Fire-Rescue for two kids to participate in the Colleton County First Responders Shopping with Heroes event.
