Colleton Medical Center honors Nursing Excellence Award recipients
Members of Team Colleton recently gathered to honor two exceptional nurse leaders with nursing excellence awards.
The Excellence in Nursing Award was created in 2014 to recognize the intrinsic value of the nursing practice in accomplishing our goal of providing the highest quality of care to the patients we serve. This award recognizes two nurses who excel as compassionate caregivers and mentors. The 2024 Nurse Excellence Award recipients are:
Excellence in Nursing- Professional Mentoring Award was presented to Taylor Long, RN for her devotion to sharing her knowledge and commitment to helping Colleton Medical Center develop high-quality, caring, and patient-centric nurses.
Excellence in Nursing- Compassionate Care Award was presented to Jennifer Livingston, RN. Jennifer is one of the hardest working, compassionate, and inspiring Nurse Leaders at Colleton Medical Center. On one occasion, she stayed late into the evening at a patient’s bedside when her husband tragically passed. She never once hesitated to show the utmost compassion and empathy in a moment of intense grief.
"This year’s honorees are the embodiment of compassionate care,” said Chief Nursing Officer, Missy Feather. “I am humbled to lead our team of dynamic patient-centric nurses and proud to recognize Taylor and Jennifer for consistently going above and beyond to mentor, support, and grow our team."
