Colleton Medical Center inpatient rehabilitation earns stroke certification
Following a rigorous evaluation of performance standards, Colleton Medical Center Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® as a Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Unit.
To earn the certification in stroke rehabilitation Colleton Medical Center demonstrated excellence in performance standards, clinical practice guidelines, and performance measurement. A strong emphasis is also placed on patient and caregiver education and the collaboration of the facility's interdisciplinary team of care experts who work cohesively to create an individualized care plan for each patient.
