Colleton Medical Center Labor and Delivery Unit has earned recognition as a Unit of Distinction from HCA Healthcare for nursing excellence.
The Unit of Distinction designation is achieved through measurable, exemplary performance in the strategic areas of advocacy and leadership and consistency in nursing practice and operations.
“The consistency of compassionate care given to our moms and babies coupled with unwavering excellence in nursing practices is what sets Colleton Medical Center’s Labor and Delivery Unit apart,” said Jimmy Hiott, Colleton Medical Center CEO. “This honor is achieved by our nurses performing at a high level both as individuals and as a team.”
Chief Nursing Officer, Missy Feather echoed Hiott’s remarks adding, “We know nurses today have a lot of choices on where they practice. That’s why we are especially proud of our top performing Labor and Delivery Team and the work they do each day to make sure both mom and baby are safe and healthy.”
