Walterboro, SC – Colleton Medical Center is pleased to announce that Dr. James Marro and Dr. Charles Beemer have joined the hospital and the practice of Edisto Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.

Marro and Beemer to Colleton,” said Jimmy Hiott, Colleton Medical Center interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer.  “They provide a great blend of top-notch clinical education and knowledge with a strong passion for providing wonderful care for our community.”

Dr. Marro is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic surgery.  Marro completed his medical degree and residency from New York Medical College in New York and has over 20 years of experience as an Orthopedic Surgeon.  He also served in the US Air Force as Chief of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. “I am thrilled to be joining Edisto Orthopedics and Sports Medicine,” said Marro.  “I look forward to enhancing the care provided to our patients”.

Dr. Beemer is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic surgery.  Beemer completed his medical degree and residency at the Medical University of South Carolina.  He also has served as Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon and Medical Director for CURE International serving in the Dominican Republic, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and San Pedro Sula Honduras as well as Beijing, China.  “Over the course of my 33 years of doing orthopedic surgery, I continually work to care for each patient individually and make sure they are receiving all the knowledge and education I can bring”, says Beemer.
